Caracol
Cultural Association
was funded in Como in 2005 with the purpose to facilitate the
understanding of other cultures by organizing
events, exhibitions, conferences and other initiatives. As a non profit
organization, Caracol targets these goals by seeking chances of
cooperation with other organizations, institutions and organisms both
private and public and by creating cultural exchanges network involving
other nations too.
Caracol is especially focusing on China and on spreading knowledge about
Chinese society and culture. To reach this goal, it plans and organizes
original events and invites specialists who know China well to take part
to its activities. Great importance is given to Chinese language as a
way to better understand Chinese society and culture. The association
organizes Chinese language courses for children, teenagers, adults and
businessmen.
Caracol also promotes business travels and B2B meetings with Chinese
companies; travels to China; film retrospectives introduced by experts;
conferences with Chinese writers and intellectuals.
